AI Card Scan ("we", "our", or "us") is dedicated to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines how your data is collected, used, and protected when using our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

  • Camera & Photo Library Access: We access your camera and photo library strictly when you explicitly take photos or select images for card identification. Image data is processed dynamically to extract visual features and is not used for facial recognition or commercial tracking.
  • Diagnostics & Device Information: We may collect anonymous device information (such as device model, OS version, application crash logs, and general usage metrics) to ensure application stability and performance.
  • Payment Information: All in-app purchases and subscriptions are handled entirely through Apple's secure In-App Purchase infrastructure. We do not collect, process, or store any credit card numbers or financial account details.

2. How We Use Information

  • To provide, refine, and improve the card recognition algorithm and price lookup functionality.
  • To diagnose software bugs and optimize system stability.
  • To verify active subscription statuses and unlock Pro privileges.

3. Data Retention & Third Parties

  • Image Processing: Card images captured for AI inference are processed transiently and discarded immediately after classification.
  • Third-Party Services: We use trusted SDKs (e.g., Apple StoreKit, basic analytics) that adhere strictly to global data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA).

4. Your Rights & Permissions

You may revoke camera or photo access at any time via iOS Settings > AI Card Scan. Disabling permissions will only affect the scanning tool and will not prevent you from using manual search functions.
